About us
City hall should be easier to follow.
Most people find out about a hearing after the sign goes up — or after the vote. Local Alert exists to get that information to the people it actually affects, while there is still time to show up.
Mission
Increase civic engagement. Residents should know when their city is talking about something near them — a park, a water bill, a zoning case — without reading every agenda PDF.
What we believe
- Residents come first. Alerts are free. No ads. We do not sell email addresses.
- Cities deserve modern tools. Staff and councils should have clear, AI-powered ways to reach people — not another stack of paper and forgotten listservs.
- Local stays local. Each city is its own list. We do not mix your neighborhood with someone else's.
- Official notice still matters. We are a convenience alert, not the legal posting. The city still publishes meetings the required way.
How it works
You pick a city, an address, a radius, topics, and any keywords. When an agenda is inside that radius or matches those interests, we email you. Cities that want the service supported pay an annual plan. That is the whole model.
